EasyBook Company History

The history of EasyBook and EasyBook Business Solutions Limited
EasyBook was originally owned by Western Business Systems Limited, based at Blackpool Airport, Lancashire, in the United Kingdom. The first version of EasyBook was released in 1999, and the system enjoyed continued success over the next 10 years.

In December 2009 EasyBook Business Solutions Limited was formed take over the future development, sales and support of the EasyBook product and business from its original base.  The new company was formed with the original EasyBook lead developer, Andy Roberts becoming a Director alongside fellow Directors and Owners Estelle & Darren Livesey, who were existing EasyBook customers.

Estelle & Darren moved to acquire the business after using the EasyBook system to help manage their booking operations for The Beach House Luxury Self-Catering Apartments.

Based just outside the major tourist destination of Blackpool, Lancashire in the United Kingdom, EasyBook Business Solutions Limited went through an intensive three year period of redevelopment and rebranding to enhance the functionality and appeal of its' products and services in a fast moving industry.

In January 2013, EasyBook Business Solutions Limited underwent a change of ownership, with Andy Roberts becoming Managing Director, joined by Chris Taylor as fellow Director.  Estelle & Darren Livesey stepped down as Directors at this time to refocus on their main business, The Beach House.  Estelle & Darren continue to use EasyBook products and services to help manage their business.

EasyBook Business Solutions Limited has benefitted greatly over the last 15 years from a combination of people (both staff and customers), knowledge and experience in the areas of hospitality provision, strategic management and business planning, sales and marketing, and computer software design, development and support.

Managing Director: Andy Roberts

Andy was the original lead developer for EasyBook since its original creation in 1998.  Andy studied Computing at Blackpool & The Fylde College, then went on to become a Business Information Systems and Management graduate from The University of Central Lancashire.  Since then Andy has accumulated over 16 years software development, technical sales and technical support experience.  Industry areas worked include Leisure and Tourism, Local Government and Property Management Services.

Director: Chris Taylor

Chris has a wealth of experience in trade and industry.  After serving in the Royal Navy, he became a qualified electrician, before moving on to become an independant retailer as an electrical wholesaler.  Chris built and ran his own successful business in Southport, Merseyside for over 20 years before semi-retirement.  He has a great appreciation for small business and customer service, along with a keen interest in all things electrical and computing.
